Honestly Honestly wanted to hate it because of I do in fact still want to hear songs about "the cost of living crisis"... but I won't judge a band of young people simply for a single response in a single article taken out of context (Also the singles at the very least are definitely super catchy)
Love the album, it’s very refreshing and different than most of the bands playing variations of the same four chords. I don’t really give a fuck about stupid shit an artist says. Good art is good art.
Haha so do a lot of musicians....they are also, like The Strokes were when they started, young kids. I hate this judgement that people pass just because of single quotes or actions...Im not saying i'd be BFFs with them or anything but they certainly don't sound malicious in any way and I thought their response was well measured (for their quote which was taken out of context anyway)
Thanks for posting this. Definitely comes across better. As I said, the music doesn’t do it for me, but good to know they’re at least more aware than I thought.
I really like "Nothing Matters" a lot, I think that's such a great single, but the rest of the album hasn't kept my attention as much.
As someone who gets super anxious every time I go solo to shows, this would’ve been my absolute nightmare
Oh wait, was it only single men 50+ taken into for questioning? I gotta a whole decade before I start getting interrogated then.
