One of my favorite shows Ive been to - last year at at Boston Garden, My oldest daughter and i sang literally all the words to all the songs to all the hits. I dont have all the albums, heck, I dont have any - but I know all the hits, and thats what they played. And I enjoyed the show more than any that year. Great performance.
I wrote up a Killers top 20 on Twitter as a semi-spontaneous response to the Hyden tweet. Here's the thread.
That's a pretty solid top 30 by Hyden, though I would definitely move Spaceman into the top 5 at the least. Loving the Midnight Show placement at 12. The lack of Bones of This River is Wild definitely stick out to me though. Two monster songs.
I was crushed at his bashing of Neon Tiger - and I know I'm in the minority on that - but the bridge of that song rips! Why not take a shot at a real lame track off that LP like I Can't Stay?
yeah, that cheap shot at "Neon Tiger" is bullshit - great song, one of the best from the album I like Craig's list, but I can't tell if I just don't like this Hyden guy at all or if I'm just that pissed about the "Neon Tiger" diss, but I feel like his list is trash
I kind of like “I Can’t Stay,” but I’ve always had this suspicion that they were commissioned to write that song for a Sandals Resorts commercial and it got rejected, so they put it on their album. The thing with Hyden is that he’s always been a “Hot Fuss is way better than everything else” guy with this band, so if you disagree with that opinion, his list might not appeal.
The Hyden list is pretty bad. We all love Hot Fuss, but putting every song from that album in a top thirty is just hard to take seriously.
exactly what my takeaway was. Christ man. They have other good albums too. In fact I think Sams Town is better
