I'm indifferent. The Killers are my favorite band. I like the song; I just don't know if I like it as a Killers song.
Run For Cover should be the single that we expect from them. The Man came out of left field, but seems pretty Top 40 radio friendly.
Just what I needed to hear... "While the band was trying to push their sound forward, they also started looking back. In the fall of 2016, they celebrated the 10th anniversary of their second album, Sam’s Town, with a pair of shows. “Playing those gigs, I realized how cohesive an idea [Sam’s Town] was,” Flowers says. “That reminded us that we really want to make a record here, not just slap a bunch of songs together…. I think we’ve done it again on this album. It’s the closest thing we’ve done to Sam’s Town.”"
Provided that this next record sounds nothing like Battle Born, I'll be pleased. Their discography for me is basically Hot Fuss, Sam's Town, Day & Age, LONG BLANK SPAN OF A TIME WHERE BRANDON DID SOME PRETTY OK SOLO STUFF, this album.
I don't understand how you can like this band at all and not like Battle Born. It's basically everything they do well on one album.
