Saw them in New York at the Barclays Center last night, which was my 7th or 8th time seeing them. Despite the fact that Barclays is still a terrible place to see a show, The Killers were great as usual. The new stage setup is really fun and I thought the new songs translated well live, though I found Rut and The Calling to be a little boring. Highlight for me has to be This River Is Wild > A Dustland Fairtyale. Amazing, soaring pairing.
Are you saying you’ve never seen a band at MSG before? Because The Killers have played MSG before, I saw them during Day & Age tour there.
Oh ok, the way he was talking he made it sound like they had never played there before. He had mentioned it is something on their bucket list.
I was going to ask the same thing, because I would be shocked if The Killers had never played MSG by this point.
I was part of the team that created all the visual content for this tour so glad to hear you guys like it!
cheers guys. this was a tough one to get across the line. my personal favourites (if they're still playing them) are shot at the night, read my mind and out of my mind.
Ended up getting tickets yesterday afternoon, and I'm so glad I did. They really define the term "arena rock". I've seen them in a GA ballroom and at Lollapalooza, but last night was the best out of the 3. And I agree on the stage design. It was really awesome. Nice work @DickyCullz! They also played Have All the Songs Been Written? (I think for the first time maybe?) as the last song before the encore. That was a nice surprise. I'm a big fan of a band opening and closing the main set with the opener and closer of the album they're on tour supporting. It was kind of weird not having All These Things I've Done be in that spot though.
That’s so sweet, was wondering when they were gonna pull that one out. Also awesome to see that Alex Cameron cover in there.
Anyone hear anything about a summer tour? They're playing every festival I would assume they play some actual headline shows too
I've seen the Killers 6 times now and had my doubts since Dave wasn't playing with them. I left thinking that was the best I've seen. They sounded amazing, set list was fantastic and the visuals were stunning.
Echoing all the comments in here -- excellent set list and visually fantastic. It was my first time seeing them, and it certainly won't be the last.
