I saw them open with it twice before and the energy is INSANE. Works better than as a closer imo

Somebody Told Me was the first song I heard by them I'm pretty sure.

Have you ever had a boyfriend that look like a girlfriend you had?

"All These Things That I've Done" was the first Killers song I ever heard, in the middle of the summer where I started really getting into music. Bought Hot Fuss that fall, and I could have sworn at the time that "Brightside" was like the fourth most important track. Legendary staying power on that one.

  6. this was a classic skate vid for me growing up. I do "All These Things That I've Done" more than any other song at karaoke, next to maybe "Break Stuff" and "Short People"

I think it was like a year ago that I finally realized the first and second verse have the same lyrics lol

In my memory, Somebody Told Me was the one everyone knew. Not really sure when Brightside took over but my god did it take over lol

  9. Hot Fuss turning 20 in about 6 months is the most frightening realization I had this morning

Somebody Told Me was definitely the first one I heard in the UK, you couldn’t escape it on the radio in 2004.

Spaceman was the song that first convinced me to buy a Killers album

I remember getting the Hot Fuss CD for Christmas in 2004, along with my first iPod. Then when Sam's Town came out the kid who had the locker next to mine shared those mp3's with me. I always remember this because 1. there was a terrible skip on the title track and 2. that kid told me he only listened to "new music" so he declined my offer to share Hot Fuss with him lol

  12. My family moved on Xmas 2004 and I remember Somebody Told Me and Mr. Brightside being blasted everywhere all the time, to the point I associate them with those bittersweet childhood memories. Radio, TV, anything. You'd either stumble upon that song, Green Day's American Idiot singles, U2's Vertigo, Destiny's Child's Lose My Breath or any pop or dance hits of that period of time (Eric Prydz's Call On Me, the dance remix of Starsailor's Four To The Floor, Mike Shinoda's remix of Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence...).

First heard ‘em on a road trip to Florida for spring break junior year of high school. Somehow, my friends & I got permission from our folks to drive down there to meet them, but in our own car & on our own schedule lol. We blasted that CD during the drive and then all week during the break.

Fast forward to now and hearing any tracks off it still remind me of pulling “hey misters” outside of liquor stores to get bottles of Bacardi O & walking beaches at night. Good times.

Think I’d prefer those backing vocals on the chorus to be toned down but awesome song still

What's the likelihood of a Hot Fuss 20 year tour this year? A top-5 album of all time for me.

Are they working around a new album at the moment? I need to give Pressure Machine another listen as it didn't have much staying power for me after 2 playthroughs.

A Hot Fuss tour would be interesting because they already play all the songs people want to hear from that one

They'd have to play it backwards, otherwise energy would DIE in the second half.

I think you could do it. U2 did The Joshua Tree and there's a similar thing there, where all the heavy hitters are up front. "Change Your Mind" and "Indie Rock and Roll" would be fun sing-alongs, and "Midnight Show" is a banger. Just do the album early in the set and then stack the latter part of the show with the rest of the greatest hits.

Change Your Mind is the best song on that second half. eternally annoying they cut it from the Australian editions of the album

I’d be more excited to hear Midnight Show or Believe Me Natalie live than any of the first five songs from that album.

"Indie Rock and Roll" wasn't on the US version, no? They'd also have to decide which version of the album they'd do.
