I legitimately think this might be my aoty. I havent listened to anything else remotely close to as much, and i played the shit out of turnstile and NIL, still, not as much as this.

Someone should make a coherent story out of this and Sam's Town, take it to Broadway, and make a bazillion dollars off it.

Forreal. A great song that is annoying me that it’s not getting as much pop relevance as it should be.

Kinda bummed but not really surprised this isn’t getting much year-end love.

  14. Seeing them tonight and I hope they play a bunch of songs from this. It's definitely going to be high on my list.

I'll be there, too. Really curious as to what the setlist is going to look like.

It's this or Turnstile for my AOTY and it's down to the wire.

If anything, all the love for Glow On makes me want to pick this MORE because holy balls, this record is amazing and it is getting next to no love from the mainstream press.

    Yes, sadly predictable though.

Will probably be my #2 or the year behind TWIABP

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

the last bit of Quiet Town - "the first crop of hay is up" - is so fucking cash and I've only just realised

Of course this album's getting paid dust in all the publication end-of-year lists - the Killers just aren't cool enough, and arguably never have been.

There's no way the new War On Drugs record is that much more deserving of praise than Pressure Machine

The entire song crushes imo. Those second and third verses are all the feels

yeah someone mentioned it earlier itt but the little bit of menace that creeps in when he sings "somebody's been keeping secrets" is just insanely good

If TWOD and the Killers flip-flopped their exact records this year, the rankings would still be the same. Goddamn shame people look down on these guys for branching out and absolutely crushing it.

The War on Drugs record is great, but so is this. Obviously, one of them came from a critically endorsed band and one of them came from a band that critics have spent 17 years being skeptical of.
