I can usually tell you my favorite and least favorite from an artist but that’s it. I don’t care to rank.
“If this life was meant for proving I could use more years to live But fifteen in a guardhouse That's more than I'm willing to give And if there really is a judgement When He pulls my chart He'll reject my actions But He will know my heart And he'll prepare a place for me Where happiness instills And the light puts its loving hands on my head Free in the west hills” God this is soooooooo good
Listened through once and the opener was my favorite. A hear a lot of stuff that reminds me of wear I grew up on this record.
I like talking about reviews, especially ones like Pitchfork and Vulture that tend to think more broadly about the music than "is it good". It injects new topics into the conversation, whether you agree with them or not.
LOL. Soooooo Apple Music was fucking up and playing everything at like 48KBPS and i thought it was a production choice, and I was like ... weird, but ok Rebooted the app and now it sounds fine ... lolllll fucking a.
I blame Jack Antonoff for me just accepting something being intentionally muddy. Then I played Foxing and was like wait this doesn't sound normal. lol. fml.
so on my first listen: Quiet Town is the only one that didn't really do anything for me but hopefully it's a grower West Hills is unreal. Cody is an early favorite. In The Car Outside is so catchy
