didn't he pull a move similar to tom delonge and call sam's town the best rock album in decades or something? he's always been a bit of a shit-talker/super confident
On one hand I think humility is usually an admirable trait in a human, but on the flip side he's right haha. I mean rock stars a little bit of a different breed.
When you’ve seen that song do what it does to festivals full of people for 15+ years, you get to call it a masterpiece.
I like Somebody Told Me as much as anyone, but imagine being the label exec listening to that album the 1st time and NOT THINKING Mr. Brightside should be the instant, automatic first single.......
That's about as in-depth on Mark and Dave as I've ever seen. Hope Dave gets back with them somewhere down the line, awesome that Mark is still with them, if not touring all the time. Excited for this one.
Yep, two second singles that immediately come to mind are "All The Small Things" and "High Hopes" – both were stone-cold hits that were smartly held back.
I liked that article but what the hell are they talking about "no song on the radio since Human"? The article is dated today and Caution is #1 on two different formats, many other singles have been top 10 on rock or alternative radio too (The Man, Runaways, Shot at The Night, etc). Are they talking about pop radio???
Battle Born is handily better than both Wonderful Wonderful and Day & Age. I'd accept arguments that either of the first two are better, but BB is at worst third.
1. Sam’s Town 2. Day & Age 3. Hot Fuss 4. Battle Born 5. Wonderful Wonderful that’s my official ranking.
