Imploding the Mirage (song) is on par with Joy Ride for me. i don't dislike it enough to skip it, but I also don't look forward to it.
Caution My Own Soul's Warning My God When The Dreams Run Dry Blowback Dying Breed Fire In Bone Lightning Fields Running Towards a Place Imploding the Mirage I like Mirage a lot and it's a good closer but something has to be last. YouTube channel idea: When The Dreams Run Dry being recut over the end of infinite 80's movies
It's easily my least favorite as well. I just didn't want to rain on the parade in here. But now that you mention it...
Alright, I'll party with ya! 1. Caution* 2. My Own Soul's Warning* 3. When the Dreams Run Dry 4. Dying Breed --- 5. Blowback 6. My God 7. Lighting Fields 8. Imploding the Mirage --- 9. Running Towards a Place 10. Fire in Bone * = Top 5 song in their discography
Not sure about track rankings but if I had to rank the most Brian Fallon moments here the winner would be, "And I'll be on your side, when the dreams run dry."
Oh, we’re doing these now! Well, these are liable to change every minute, but: Dying Breed My Own Soul’s Warning My God Imploding the Mirage When The Dreams Run Dry Fire In Bone Caution Lightning Fields Blowback Running Towards A Place Nothing below a 7/10 imo, great album
Trying not to have too much recency bias to the non singles mine is: 1. MOSW 2. WTDRD 3. Caution 4. Blowback 5. ITM 6. Dying Breed 7. My God 8. Lightning Fields 9. RTAP 10. Fire in Bone
Ok, fine, I'll rank: Caution Dying Breed My Own Soul's Warning When the Dreams Run Dry Blowback My God Fire in Bone Imploding the Mirage Lightning Fields Running Towards a Place
I do, I just don't think that song ever quite lifts off in the way the others do. I still like it a lot, it's just my least favorite song here.
One of the WOD dudes did the lead guitar on Blowback. One of my favorite sounds on this thing. Guess I need to give WOD more of a proper listen.
Their most recent album is the one that feels most sonically like this one. More meditative and jammy than The Killers by a mile, but the three song stretch from “Holding On” to “Knocked Down” is pretty straightforward and what gave me the push to dive deeper.
Ya'll are still crazy with "Fire in Bone". Song still slays. I think my least favorite on the album is "Blowback".
