I can't wait to run to this, but i'm a wuss and avoid running in the high heat of the summer so it'll have to wait a few weeks.

You know the pain of western PA then, haha. Just add hills and you've got the perfect storm and the reasons why walking & biking get traded out for running during July & August.
I enjoy this line from the spin review a lot: Instead, they made more big songs for happy people. They are the mall, and Mirage is a new Cheesecake Factory.
I try not to complain about summer heat too much, because it’s still so much better than running in northern Michigan’s endless Lake Effect snow winter.
Track ranking Fire in Bone When the Dreams Run Dry Dying Breed Blowback Caution My Own Soul’s Warning My God Running Towards a Place Lightning Fields Imploding the Mirage
This. Slug it out during the summer and blaze in the fall. Then winter is all maintenance and improving aerobic. Ran a virtual half last week in this humidity (Southern Ontario) region at 1:42 which was a personal best. Been cranking out miles a lot during covid due to working from home. To whoever ran a 10k in 37 minutes... you are an absolute beast
Surprised to see When the Dreams Run Dry so high up in everyone's rankings. Pretty easily my least favorite on the record right now. (it's not bad, just the most forgettable for me)
Any of those reviews well-written? I haven’t enjoyed one yet, wish more people who really like this band would put theirs out. (cough @Craig Manning)
Dying Breed My Own Soul's Warning Caution Blowback My God Fire in Bone When the Dreams Run Dry Lightning Fields Running Towards a Place Imploding the Mirage Imploding the Mirage isn't even bad! It just reminds me a bit of Battle Born and feels out of place on this record. Then again, I'm an outlier who thinks "Goodnight, Travel Well" is their best closing track.
Imploding the Mirage (song) actually reminds me of Brandon's solo stuff, specifically Was It Something I Said and the bridge of Still Want You, but a bit better and more theatrical than either. I feel I should be doing a Footloose-style dance while it's playing
it’s easily one of my favorites on the album. blowback my own soul’s warning imploding the mirage fire in bone dying breed caution running towards a place lightning fields when the dream runs dry my god
Yea the moment it started playing I thought of “Was it Something I said” but maybe with a bit of a Hall and Oates twist on it
Going to finish it up tonight! Been absolutely swamped with work this week or I would have gotten it done sooner.
I don't know if I could rank, but my favorite is still "Caution." Just an absolute monster of a song.
Depends on your definition of well-written, but I have found bits & pieces that I like in each one. i think the one I've liked the most of those that i've read so far is the line of best fit.
