Here you go, Japanese special edition seems mostly debunked. Still unsure about that other vinyl, though. It's possible that site just has the wrong info.
Yeah, that’s the other one I’m talking about. Could be a deluxe edition, or they may have wrong information. I have no clue.
Yeah, this is probably my favourite Killers album or at least on par with Sams Town. Love every track on here.
The album version of Blowback is epic. Totally expected it to be like the toned down version they performed a few months ago.
I felt like I was having an out of body experience reading that review. A truly bizarre write-up. But hey, a 7.4!
Yeah was one of the strangest reviews I can recall. Kind of head shaking all round. But 7.4 is a decent score. Very much in Pitchfork's "it's good but we don't want to get you excited about it" range
Just when I thought Pitchfork couldn't surprise me anymore... Anyway, these guys are as ambitious as ever on this.
How did I not know Weyes Blood was on this? the Killers collabing with Weyes Blood, Adam Granduciel, and Lindsey Buckingham. Taylor Swift collabing with The National and Bon Iver more of this type of stuff please.
That Pitchfork review is fucking weird. Would’ve been great if they actually talked about the album’s sound in the context of the current musical landscape or the band’s catalog. Instead we got essentially an essay about the sexual overtones of their catalog peppered with five dollar phrases like “ambisexual roundelay” and “Talmudic wisdom“. Can’t see it encouraging anyone to listen to the actual music, despite the great score.
I really love the last couple minutes of When the Dreams Run Dry. You can kind of tell that was originally supposed to close the album.
I throughly enjoyed this album yesterday and am looking forward to dive back into it today. Idk why, but it reminds me of Battle Born and I love that it does. This album is gonna be good for driving and at 10 tracks this album is a perfect length. I also love the 80’s synth rock vibes the album has.
I feel like this was kinda glossed over in here. Dressing Room A There’s no way the band didn’t know about it. edit: I went back a couple pages to see it has been discussed and YIKES. Y’all are trying so hard to not believe the survivor.
I mean, it's not totally OK, mainly because of wider industry issues and the fact that this woman has had to live with a decade with the imagined knowledge of sexual assault. But the accuser was relieved that the alleged victim was tracked down and the story turned out to be a (cruel and awful) joke, and she seems happy enough with the Killers' conduct as far as I can see. Also corroborated by venue staff confirming the dressing room details didn't match up. Don't see where else they can take this, the former crew member who instigated the bad stuff doesn't work for them any more and they're planning to have a system for safe reporting of staff issues on the next tour
