That link is very confusing...just links to various extra songs that were released 10 years ago already. Here's a link people might be more interested in: https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/sho...lp?category=vinyl-records-cassettes&color=001 The 10th anniversary vinyl version with bonus tracks.
The amount of hate this album got back in the day makes it astonishing to me that some people view it as their last good album. I like this record, but I think it's their worst and I think Battle Born took all the things that were good about it and jettisoned the rest.
“Battle Born” and Flowers’s solo album definitely bounced them back for me. But not to the level I was with “Hot Fuss” and “Sam’s Town.” I was deflated again with that album last year. I hated that more than this.
The quality was such a dramatic drop from Sam's Town, I truly believed it was either (a) another band pretending (remember the fake copy of Narrow Stairs?) or (b) a crappy/joke album by the band to saturate the leak market with fake copies... back during the good old days of album leaks and torrents...
Their most recent album is such garbage. I enjoyed all their albums through Battleborn and Brandon's solo stuff.
Wonderful Wonderful has some of my favorite songs by them - the title track, Tyson vs. Douglas, Run for Cover, and The Calling. EDIT: Also, they've never been better live And that's with half of the original members no longer touring. Brandon Flowers has reached a new peak as a live performer, and the WW Tour was beyond exceptional.
I don’t love the WW title track, but that’s about the only dud for me. Really love the section from “Rut” through to “Some Kind of Love.”
