Really, really bummed that this is only going to be a two-show tour:

 

The wording of the vinyl description was confusing. Is the new pressing of Emotion Is Dead only available on the tour or will there also be a tour-only variant?

I loved that band but this is 100% not for me

 

WTF did NOT expect to see this band rise from the dead today on my release radar. This song reminds me a lot of Bleachers. I think I like it.

 

I think the song is alright but I never would have guessed it was The Juliana Theory.

 

Oof. This is some pretty generic radio-rock. It's not bad, but it definitely doesn't sound like The Juliana Theory at all.

 

I'm shocked more than anything else, but I enjoyed the song and I'm happy to have them back! This song did a better job at pulling me than anything on the last Andrew McMahon release...

After hearing the new track, which I don’t enjoy, I went back and listened to Love. That’s definitely my favorite record of theirs but I had no idea it cost almost HALF A MILLION DOLLARS Hahaha

this is actually a really good read

 

I remember Love being super divisive. Also, they got booed off the stage opening for Evanescence right after this came out. That's a low point for sure. It's actually a pretty decent album.

Emotion Is Dead is a classic for me. Wild to see them release new music in 2020. People’s reactions in here aren’t giving me a lot of hope that’s it’s good though haha.

 

I’d agree with his general assessment that Love is too bloated, but it’s a good record at its core. I actually like “Congratulations” a lot as well haha

 

I dont really care for love. or honestly deadbeat. I think I like them better as a soft pop band

 

Not really feeling this new song. Feels very generic early 2010's indie pop.

Yeah... I’m not liking any of this. It’s just not the same band. I’m all for evolution, when done right, but I hear nothing that sounds like even a remnant of TJT.

 

I genuinely hope that they hit it big with the songs. They’ve certainly worked hard for it. I guess I won’t grimace too much when I hear it while strolling through Anthropologie
