Feel free to let me know if this is old news, but they don't actually play the instruments on their album(s)? Credits for this album have them listed as writers on all tracks, but musically both Nick and Joe only are credited for "vocals" where Kevin is credited for guitar and "background vocals" on one track.

Happiness Begins has Kevin ONLY credited musically for "background vocals" on one track, haha... is this true?/

 

I guess this is just a post-hiatus thing, their first 4 albums have them credited as playing instruments on the album

 

I don't care who played those guitars. They sound fucking great.

 

Holy shit the sax parts on "Celebrate!" (my favorite track) are Richie fucking Cannata

Haven’t really been a Jo Bros fan ever but was seeing clips and pull quotes of them saying the album was “dad rock” and I assumed it’d be one song and the rest would be more Portugal The Man sound-a-likes but decided to check it out anyway. What a lovely surprise. Modern yacht sounds great on them. Bass is the MVP of the record for me, incredible tone and feel

 

This album is Jon Bellion + Lawrence with the JBros singing - it’s fun!

I don’t believe this framing for one second. Sophie said during Covid that she was thriving at home while Joe was miserable not being able to go out. Plus Joe is a pretty heavy drinker. He’s trying to get ahead of something I think

 

It can’t just be that two people grew apart… it has to be that he’s “getting ahead of something”… gimme a break. You guys slow on gossip drama this week so it’s time to just make some shit up?

I mean… it’s not far off. So far nothing whatsoever indicating that there is anything dramatic other than ordinary reasons couples drift apart over time, different priorities, etc. I just don’t see the point in speculating or insinuating based off of nothing.

If she’s being painted as a bad mother in the media it’s not the fault of any of the actual statements made, because none of them say that even indirectly. If anything it sounds like the usual gossip blogs are doing their thing and spinning a narrative based off of nothing. That’s not either of their faults.
