I love the bounce this thing has

 

The bass comes through so clearly in the mix and drives some of these songs I love it. It sounds soo warm

 

Put the Blood pressing of this on immediately after Good At Falling and it sounds… not good.

That said, Good At Falling is probably the best sounding record in my collection, it’s immaculate.
How do the other pressings sound?

 

Does shipping records during the summer affect how they come out, rather than the actual pressing? I was worried there was some degradation of the record since it was like 90deg the week it was delivered, but not sure how much that affects it

 

zero familiarity with them but this record is so good

Really loving this. Has become a staple of the weekly if not daily rotation.

 

This hasn’t clicked for me yet and I’m kinda bummed about it. Hoping it does this fall.

 

Yeah I sadly haven’t listened since it came out but I did really like it

 

This thing is on a couple times a week in this house because we do things right around here

 

Still probably my most listened to album this year so far

 

The second-best thing about this LP - aside from the 10/10 music - is the encouragement it gave me to check out her back catalogue. Prior to this, I was only familiar with the Chewing Cotton Wool EP which is another 10/10 release. But after exploring more the last few weeks I now realize everything she's made is fantastic.

I’ve come back to this recently for ✨reasons✨ and man, what a fucking album. Easily the show I’m looking forward to the most in December.

 

The discussion on here about the meaning of "Boyhood" kinda destroyed me, I feel like a big dummy for not intuiting how deep that song is until now.

 

Have gone through a really painful (and unexpected) divorce this past year and this album -and all of Amber Bain’s music in general- has helped me more than I can explain. Finally just got tickets to drive 6 hours in December and see them live for the first time in Vermont as a way to close out this insane year and I am so excited.

 

I don’t normally appreciate this enough but that bassist is crushing it out there, laying down such a backbone, love this track

 

Yeah that song is so good. The way that rhythm builds in the verses feels like a never ending staircase thanks to the 7/4, then switching to 4/4 in the chorus breaks that tension so well. Feels like such a relief when it hits

 

US tour starts tomorrow! Very excited to see what Amber has in store!

 

UK tour announced for May also! Might just go 'fuck it' and pop over

 

I'll let you know how it is! I've seen her several times already and she's awesome live, and these new songs will absolutely pop off

 

So I went 'fuck it' and got presale for Manchester
