Thinking about it, I actually would be ok with a Benoit movie if done correctly. Just depict his life and everything that led to what happened, and show the aftermath and it's effect on his family and wrestling as a whole. Just don't actually show the thing though.
From what someone said on Reddit (and take that with a planet-sized grain of salt) Chris was in the original script and it tested as too much tragedy for one movie, which is kind of understandable.
I hope at least they amalgamate some elements of Chris into Mike, so he is not totally forgotten at least.
I love all the comments on the trailer from people who don't know this story that are like " the trailer gave the entire movie away!" lol
JAW is asked in this whether it's better to research this story before watching or go in blind. He very seriously and emphatically says you need to go in blind.
Honestly the thought of someone sitting in the lower section and sitting all turned around facing the rest of the audience while a movie runs in a theater is nightmare stuff
