Not nominating this for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, ect? Okay fair enough it was stiff competition this year. Not nominating Efron for Best Actor though? What the actual fuck.

 

I enjoyed the movie but I don’t think it deserved any nominations.

 

Out of all the nominated movies this year, I think I was most emotionally moved by Zac Efron’s performance. A massive level up for him

 

He acted his goddamn ass off in that final scene with his kids

 

There are already a few YouTube reactions to this movie out. Not a single one where the reactor doesn't cry.

 

As someone who cares way to much about the Oscars, Efron absolutely deserved to be a Best Actor frontrunner, but we won't get into the nonsense that is campaigning.

(no lead for DiCaprio in Flower Moon is still probably a more egregious whiff)

 

Wasn't my favorite movie of the year, but few lines from 2023 hit me as hard as the "I used to be a brother" line. Just an absolute emotional anvil drop to the chest.

 

That is actually a real line that Kevin has used that i have heard in documentaries before, so I was expecting it, and it still hit me so hard.

I am astounded at how jacked Zac was in this - one chiseled specimen of a human

 

The movie as a whole was just short of great for me, but Zac was fantastic.

 

Crazy that Kevin didn't meet Zac until basically the premiere

 

I’ve listened to “Live That Way Forever” about 10 times in the last 24 hours and it’s like I’m challenging myself not to cry in public lol

 

When Mike tries to play that song again after the accident just fucking wrecks me.

 

How did i not realize that's what he was doing. fuck. i've seen this movie 5 times and watched probably 20+ reaction videos on youtube. kind of embarrassing
