Scorsese and QT are the only two directors for me who can make a long movie entertaining and not feel like it’s dragging on
I don't mind a long movie if it's necessary. But it looks like I'm the opposite of most people here on The Wolf of Wall Street. I really felt the length by the end it.
I loved Silence. I think maybe Gangs was the last time I really felt the length of one of his movies.
Ebert said something close to a bad film will always feel too long no matter the length and a good film will always feel short no matter the length. Goodfellas feels like an 80 minute film.
Not gonna pre-judge based on the runtime, but might need to split it up into two viewings. Even on weekends, I don’t have usually have a 3 1/2 hour block of free time to devote to a movie.
In most cases, I can't not finish a movie once I've started. I have a tough time watching movies with other people because I hate it when people need to pause or ask questions. Once I sit down, I just want to get locked into the story.
I don't know what it is, but I feel irresponsible doing anything for an uninterrupted sitting like that. I am always checking e-mail or something else. Even naps feel suspect.
The theater new me that might show it serves up craft beer, so that might be a factor in seeing it theaters
I’m sure he had a ton of offers pouring in and he decides to take... (checks notes), the villain in Iron Man 2
