It reminds me of Kerosene meets Fitz and the Tantrums. Which isn’t great but it’s far from bad - and it’s gonna get on the radio. I think it would really explode if instead of the second “no matter how far I go, I always end up back here” lyric ended with something about the mirror and skipped the halftime section. It’s just about to take off and then it treads water. It sounds great in that final chorus when it just propels, and it will kill live because they’re a great live act. Really loved the last record. Optimistic for this one.
Is it a good song? Its not bad. Would it fit nicely on a new album? Definitely. Is it a great new first single for a new album? Eh Their entire discography has been excellent so far and I completely embrace some new sounds so I'm ready
These are all SO close to being really good, but not hitting me nearly as immediately as stuff did on the last record. The initial review @Jason Tate did in the newsletter a few weeks ago gives me hope.
I've been really digging all of them. They've all been on repeat all summer so far. They sound like bangers and loving this new one
Just pre-ordered the vinyl and a shirt. The new songs are so good. Been jamming them on repeat in the gym. They also just leaked a new song clip on TikTok, per their Instagram story.
We need to talk about this new album. It’s easily their best front to back. Anyone know when pre-orders are supposed to ship?
Aimee Allen Of The Interrupters On Her Journey To Healing This article is on the front page, but it’s definitely worth reading.
Yeah, I saw them for the first time in Philly the other day and they killed it. By far one of my favorite performances I've ever seen.
I see them on 6/1. Its an odd one because the Skints are performing the same day at a competing venue. Not sure why they couldn't just be an opener again.
great interview with Aimee & Kevin. https://www.loudersound.com/feature...-interrupter-find-true-happiness-at-long-last
