Considering the talent involved this doesn't look that great. I'm guessing there's a twist or something but the trailer and synopsis gives away a lot.
If I saw the trailer without knowing anything, I never would've guessed Lindelof and Cuse were behind this.

they canceled the 13 Reasons Why premiere because of gun violence, and I think there were others, so if that's the reason no, but probably if they canceled it because of the alt right which is probably the real reason I think so
“Phone Booth” was delayed because of the Beltway Sniper iirc.
But this has to be because of Trump and Fox News beating the drum that it was anti conservative. As another critic said, “Hobbes and Shaw” is in theater and that has tons of people getting shot.
