Just don't buy anything fabric from West Elm. I bought a new duvet cover washed it once and the thing literally fell apart. Then I had to fight with West Elm to return it
That's a bummer to hear, I work for Pottery Barn (sister company of WE) and everything is wear tested by people in merchandising, sourcing, product development, etc. I highly recommend Belgian linen sheets when you feel like splurging on something very adult and boring
One of my favorite purchases of all times was years ago when I bought really great $300 dollar sheets. That was when I knew I was an adult.
It's funny I have some old WE stuff that won't die. But the customer service was insane. PB has been much better. I need new sheets but I'm pretty picky. I tend to like a percale since I like crisp feeling. Do they hold up well?
I've seen a lot of apartments online that have bedroom walls that only go 3/4 of the way to the ceiling. What's up with that? Is that supposed to be more efficient when it comes to heating/cooling the place? I don't see the appeal.
I have so many random knick-knacks and stuff that people give me and I have to literally tell them to stop! I also contribute to the problem as well cause i'm a lowkey a compulsive shopper. i have no room for all of it and trying to find places for it all is becoming a difficult task. My room reads a little juvenile which is unfortunate but i've finally found a spot for all this shit I have which is good. I made this myself which i thought maybe some of you would enjoy since it's records Basically everything I have is either secondhand, really cheap or I DIY/made myself.
I apparently don't have very many pictures of the inside of my house, but he's the living room/dining room. With the awesome archway between them. On the left you can see the door to our sunroom which has exposed brick.
@colorlesscliche your house is SO pretty, but also, that photo of the staircase makes it look like yall have exactly the same layout as Phil's house on Modern Family
I desperately need tapestries and posters and shit for my room. There's absolutely nothing on my walls still, haha. They're painted lime green which makes it really hard
Our reading corner. Featuring my dog who was apparently waiting for me to come home and goes to that chair every day around the time I get back.
I used to collect bookshelves. I love me some bookshelves. Only downside if half of them were always empty because I didn't have enough to fill them.
I wish I had that problem! Shelves are expensive and I have nowhere to keep my movies besides a small DVD tower
Oh yeah and! my Andrew McMahon signed poster things... I love them; I wish I could afford to just buy every single print he puts out. These are my favesies!
