Sleeping on the floor has been THE WORST and I wasn’t expecting my mattress until Thursday. I set up my bed frame this morning (Thuma, which was expensive, but it’s really nice and took five minutes to assemble) as I was waiting for my couch to be delivered. Turns out, Macy’s combined my deliveries so I got the couch AND the mattress today.

Now that my bed is complete, I can start figuring out how to decorate the bedroom. I put a 6x9 rug under half of the bed and I think it looks pretty good, and then I ordered the following nightstands (I wanted floating because I have the underbed storage drawers on one side and apparently it’s a faux pas to just have one nightstand, lol) and dresser.

Also ordered this bath mat because I want the bathroom to be a happy place, lol:

I hung some art around the place this morning and that is already helping make my new place feel like a home.

My Thuma frames have been awesome for 3 years now. Nice choice.

Yeah it’s beautiful. I’ve never had a non-shitty Amazon frame before so this feels extra premium. The underbed drawers are nice and huge too but I’m not sure what I should store in them yet!

I thought they were gonna be useful as well, but mine got VERY dusty. Anything you put in there, I'd recommend a tote of some sort.

    It's all hell.

Work in progress, but my girlfriend and I just repainted, and redecorated our living room. I'm not entirely happy with the curtains, and I think we need some wall lights or something to fill the space behind our TV, but I'm definitely happy with the progress so far.

(Please ignore Newcastle beating Arsenal on TV :verysad:)

Throw some of these over those framed items too. Then you never need to turn on the overheard light which is a rule in our house.

Thanks both, I'm actually pretty colourblind so I was putting full faith in my partner's vision for the colour scheme so glad she's nailed it! haha.

We took down some fittings when we moved in, so she may take some convincing getting the TV back on the wall! That is sick though.

Yeah, it's a little log burner built into our chimney. One of the things that sold us on the house tbh!

Kind of silly, but I think I’m going to have to put my TV adjacent to my couch because I have limited placement options and the wall across the couch not only just out but is only 45” wide, and I really don’t want a TV smaller than 65” (or <= 45” for that matter). Is that going to be awful? I really can’t tell. I could just lay on the couch or prop myself up against the arm rest, and for guests I can always get a small chair that can be moved across from the TV.

Mount it on the wall if you can with one of those mounts that has an arm on it that allows you to pull out the TV and move it when necessary
