Huge bump heh big life changes for me in this part of life. I moved into my own place for the first time at 28 (hate saying but true unfortunately) basically started from scratch with furniture but super, super fortunate to move into a apartment complex that was brand new and first person to live in the apartment. Honestly can’t beat it for the price. anyways, got a lot of my stuff from Wayfair because at the time I was working there and got a pretty decent discount. Waiting on a few pieces still. A corner table between the couch and loveseat, and a floor lamp for that corner. Basically I’m a big person on cozy/minimalist style Eventually looking to add more to the walls and having a better set up for all the cords lmao
i love mine. I’m invested in the Hue ecosystem so it can pricey as hell (like the apple tax) since you have to buy their bulbs. But everything can be used through the Hue app or HomeKit if you are on iPhone
Nice setup. I moved into a new apartment six months ago and am so glad to be the first one to live in this space. It's not my first place, but I am putting a lot of effort into decorating this one. I've picked up a lot of tips from the "Male Living Space" subreddit. Sounds tacky, but there are some super helpful tips on there that have inspired me.
Looks good. I wish my place was that fancy. My apt is small af and I probably pay the same in rent as you. I back moved out at 29. It was best for my mental health.
I'm moving into a new place this weekend and I'm so excited to decorate! It's small so trying to utilize vertical space and functional storage and furniture
MaleLivingSpace is great, got a lot of inspo there AmateurRoomPorn is another good one for inspiration
I'm currently moving from an apartment into what is politely known as a manufactured home with my girlfriend and daughter. It's paid off so we'll only be paying rent on the lot, which is a big drop in price. It'll be nice to have our own yard and stuff. Looking forward to making it home
I like platform beds if there is the ability for more storage. I also like to feel like a tall queen when I go to bed
The one on the left I got on the fall tour with Touché Amoré at the show. Not sure if it’s being sold anywhere. The one on the right I got at the final show of the Vheissu anniversary tour in Los Angeles. Should be able to buy it here https://garageland.net/collections/gig-posters/products/thrice-los-angeles
Wife got me a really nice vacuum for V day. I’ve had some bad luck with vacuums in the past. Had a dyson but it stopped sucking entirely and then we got a shark which was really good. Though it will now drop dust/debris every other minute when vacuuming. We have a roomba too but it’s mainly just for small stuff like dust when we’re too busy or we put it on when we leave. Anyways this one she got me is crazy powerful and huge. The tank in it is massive. It’s a Bissell
In the need of a new couch. I like a lot of online offerings but I’m hesitant to purchase without sitting in one. Anyone have any good/bad stories to share about buying online from places like Inside Weather, Joybird, Floyd, or others?
Do you have a budget? I haven’t heard of any of those places. A friend of mine and good experience from places like wayfair and overstock. My sofa is from Ashley furniture. The only downside i would say is the cushions “sink in” and are no longer firm after a little while sitting in it. And the material could be better, but it had good reviews online. Also the cleaning stains of spills isn’t easy (unless I’m doing something wrong)
Anyone watch those cleaning tik toks? I love them. One I came across makes me cringe so hard. Not only is the girl rude, but she mixes chemicals that shouldn’t be mixing without a fuck in world. Also ton a waste of product. Her money. Also she doesn’t use gloves *gag face emoji*
I need good inspiration and ideas to make my room cozier. Its so blah. I feel like if it was cozier I'd sleep better. I usually have a base idea of what I want to do but idk where to start.
Anyone have suggestions or examples of what they use for a wall mounted key holder/mail holder like at the entry way of their door? I’ve looked around and haven’t found anything I like so far so wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions
I’ve been looking for one too. The one I’ve seen before and like, I haven’t found a pic of one or anywhere that has it
