House hunt will be transforming from fun looking at zillow, to actually going to showings, soon after I get married this fall.

Crazy how expensive my area is, Eastern Massachusetts is a shit show. I 3bed/2bath cape/ranch 30 miles or less from Boston is generally, at least, 450K.

 

So, having changed some fittings, I have learned a couple of things about my place:

1.) The old wiring for the heating has been done in a really frustrating way.
2.) The back boxes for the switches and sockets are crooked in the wall, which gives the appearance of a fun house.
3.) Chrome toggle switches look the shit.

 

Anyone got good vacuum recommendations?

 

I love my Dyson Cyclone V10, but it's also $600. I just find myself vacuuming a whole lot more with it, since it's cordless. With a corded one, you're constantly unplugging and moving it around.

With this, I just take it from it's power supply, vacuum downstairs real quick, and put it back on the charger. The next day I'll do the same, but upstairs. It's just quick, convenient, and cleans up really good.

 

I totally will not be spending $600 but thank you. I am looking for the cordless kind tho.

That’s @dylan and he actually did all the music area. There’s the big mwy flag in middle, then if you look on right, a la dispute and the headphones posters. On the left we have a neutral milk hotel. We have one empty part that we need to fill but we are having trouble finding something in that exact size that would fit there

 

God damn government in Denver pays that well, @dylan?!

 

Folks any recommendations for dressers for people who, hypothetically, have a ton of t-shirts and sweaters? Asking for a friend

Some updates to the living space were had

we got our mwy and the 1975 tour posters hung. Able to declutter some things, got a new rug, new shelf above chair. The lamp is authentic mid century and it was getting lost behind a bunch of mess over by the sofa and it was driving me crazy. Got it all decluttered and much better. Then we decided the space on that one bit of the wall needed something so I found this
