Just realized I never responded to this. I'm not sure about the clay...I think my problem is I definitely don't use a weed tarp. I just know growing up, my parents never used a weed tarp either, but never had the weeds problem my house is having (although it hasn't been too bad this spring so far). I guess for me to create the edge, I'd probably have to go maybe a 8-12 inches outside of the mulch and dig it out. I started to do that last year and the ground was like rock hard in some spots so it was pretty difficult.
Still looking at shower curtains. All the ones I end up liking cost $100+. I didn't even know they made shower curtains for that much lol
Not sure what your taste is, but there are some online outlets that partner with artists to offer their work printed on a whole lot of products, shower curtains included: Shower Curtains | Society6 Shower Curtains | DENY Designs they're a lil less than $100, though definitely not cheap imo. also, the amount of options is kinda overwhelming. quality-wise I haven't tried shower curtains from either, but everything I've ordered from society6 has been pretty good!
Amazon is tough for me cause there's so much to look thru and navigate! I'm looking at Wayfair online rn. They have a lot that I like but I'm so picky when I envision how I want something to look that there's none so far I actually wanna buy lol. I love one that's $50 but i'd like to pay less than that
I've gotten lucky on wayfair with more of the furniture type stuff, but I love amazon for the smaller things. But yea it can be pretty overwhelming.
I always found Wayfair to be more expensive than other options. They have a great selection and finding what you want is easy, but half of the stuff I found on wayfair I got on lowe's, amazon, or homedepot for much less.
It's ridic cause I've looked at so many shower curtains on so many sites that I am starting to see the same ones and compare prices and I hate that I know this much about shower curtains now lol. Wayfair also has a ton to wade thru. I fell asleep before I finished. Hayneedle had some that I liked but not what I'm going for. I'll buy the $50 one if I can't find another but I'd rather not. I want something that has a splash of color. But I don't want the color to be like an overwhelming pattern. And lots of shower curtains are either kinda muted colors or too much with not a lot of in between. It is also ridic how many inspirational quote curtains there are. That is not what I need in a shower curtain.
"So how did this young lady lose her mind?" "Shower curtains." I lost mine over what color to paint my dining room.
At one point I thought I found one but the design ended up being tiled instead of spread across the whole curtain so I didn't like it anymore. And then I went back to the $50 one I like and decided I don't like it anymore either lmao. When I decorate I'm very headstrong about making sure it feels like "me." I think it's cause I didnt get my own room until college so I get very excited about spaces that are mine. Im the same with clothes. I'll envision a specific look and idk if the item of clothing even exists in the way I want it but i get very determined until I find it lol.
Going back a few posts, my wife loves Wayfair. We have gotten a table, fire pit, chairs, and like a storage table for the dinning room. We are currently looking at desk from them. My only complaint is their shipping. Its great that it is free but we have had problems with pieces being damaged in delivery. I would have no problem paying some shipping for UPS/USPS/FedEx to deliver instead of some contractor kicking it off their truck into the middle of my driveway. Thankfully Wayfair has had great customer service and refunded us fully on the fire pit and let us keep it. They also refunded us for the storage table and sent a new one while letting us keep the damaged one.
This shower curtain conversation is hilarious because I literally spent weeks browsing sites for them (there's such a thing as too many options), only to move into my new house and realize my bathroom has a glass shower... Now I'm spending an absurd amount of time looking a bed frames.
I used Wayfair once, and it was an absolutely horrible experience. I will never use them again. I ordered a wooden dining room table for $350. When it arrived, there was a huge piece of the wood had broken off in transport (the box was a damn mess). I put it together just to make sure I still wanted the thing, and the quality was abysmal. I called Wayfair to schedule a return and a refund. They said they would refund my money, but would be charging me a re-stocking fee of $250. So, I would be out $250 with no fucking table. I was dumbfounded. I asked to speak to a supervisor. They told me the same thing. After two hours of arguing and screaming, they refused to budge. They told me my options were to keep the broken one, swap out the broken one for a new one, or pay $250 for no table. We kept the shitty broken one, but never used it because, outside of being damaged, the quality of the table was horrid so you couldn't really eat on the thing. We upgraded as soon as possible to a really nice West Elm floor model that we got at a reduced price.
Wow that is unacceptable, i've had nothing but good experiences i've ordered quite a few tables and chairs from them
Currently I just have a mattress on the floor. My bed at the previous house was a twin and I moved up to a queen (so much room!), but now that means a more expensive bed frame. I came really close to buying one on sale for about $550, but it hurt to think about spending that much.
I haven't even started looking yet but that price hurts my heart! Also it's cool when people just have extra junk to give u. When I moved in with my rm she was already established with living room stuff so I don't have any. But my sis is lending me her couch that's in storage and a coworker is giving me her coffee table and two end tables. Score for people always needing to get rid of stuff!
I bought a shower curtain. One I saw 1000 times browsing online but I was at Fred Meyer and finally said screw it and just got one. It ended up being on sale for $11
What types of frames are you looking for? I got my queen frame for $200 (on sale). The others I was thinking about getting were in the $300s. Sometimes furniture stores have really good deals during random times.
