I only feel that way about old band shirts I wear to bed. Otherwise I hate clutter and junk and want to throw it all away or sell it but I dont wanna hurt ppl's feelings who gave it to me. Meh.
*raises hand* I have boxes of vintage Indiana Jones toys, TMNT toys, Playskool cavemen, Small Soldiers figures, Legos and etc etc. I always want to set some up on display. Wife always vetoes.
Same, just different franchises. I'm secretely glad my GF stops me from displaying all of them though.
My living room has a bunch of toys, mostly Funko Pops which I might be getting over. If I get rid of them I'll have to buy some adult decor to replace them
There are things I wanna collect but I'm cheap lol. My dad has always collected the tour flyers for the shows he attended and he'd frame them with the ticket stub. I've done that a few times but those lil $10 posters add up, and the frames! I started collecting Britney and Xtina perfumes and then decided that's not how I wanna spend my money so that ended fast. I don't have the dedication to collect.
I buy cheap frames from Target. They have 3 packs for cheap, but all the lil things just add up. When I have more disposable income I'd like to get more posters and stuff.
I just pulled a ton of weeds from my lawn but it still looks terrible and I didn't get them all. I hate yardwork so that's a testament to how bad it was before I finally gave in.
I bought a house that was built 7 years ago. The people who lived here before me were super into gardening and knew a lot about bushes and flowers and stuff and maintained if often. When my wife and I moved in, we didn't know how to take care of anything and we let it all go to hell. I basically had to dig up most of the bushes and weird shit that was planted because we didn't know how to (or care to) maintain it. Now that my beds are mostly empty, the weeds grow like a motherfucker. Seriously, I can spent 2 hours weeding and it still looks awful and 5 days later everything is back again. The WORST part about owning a home for me for the past 2 1/2 years has been maintaining my beds. Sidenote, I have these weeds that grow that are the sharpest things ever. And they can grow as high as my waist. When I pick those, my arms are just full of rashes.
tbh I respect those ppl who love gardening and caring for plants and taking pride in that, but I am not one of those people! I rent a house currently, but I'd be totally cool with a home or apt with no yard. I never go out in it and it's just more money to water and time to maintain. Me and my rm were talking about making more of an effort next year. I only cared enough to pull some weeds today cause weeds with goatheads were forming in the grass along the driveway and I couldn't walk up the driveway without getting them stuck in my shoes and tracking them inside. omg ur weeds sound ridic tho! To your waist?!?! Adulting sucks.
Haha, I love gardening. Although my wife has a vegetable garden that I cannot be bothered with, that's definitely too high maintenance.
Wife and I are looking to get a fireplace installed. I do this for a living (construction) and it's a fucking pain in the ass...
Weed them, really dig up everything, spread weedkiller and plant azeala bushes. They are pretty sturdy, look nice and have good height. If you want something low, try hostas.
So for someone who isn't really into the vinyl thing as a whole, but really likes how some of you guys have them framed. Anybody have a clue what kind of image resolution I'd need to be able to just print out album covers the same size at Staples so they'd look nice in a picture frame? My room is so bare aside from my bed, bookshelf, and desk. I need something to put on these walls.
Looks like I might be moving for the first time in years next month, so I've been going crazy on Pinterest planning out an entirely different bedroom for myself. I'm ready to just donate everything and start over (this might get expensive real quick, yikes).
My mission this weekend is to scour craigslist for a small table or shelf for my new record player for under $20
I will post my living room setup sometime soon in here. My apartment has been beyond dirty for an entire month now geez.
Oh please don't do that. Unless moving is going to cost you a ton. I tried to do that and I regret it. Not because I missed my stuff, but having to drop all that cash at once, plus the little things that come with a new place. If you change your address and sign up with bedbath and beyond you can get a 20% off entire order coupon. Now I don't love their stuff, but I basically just added shit I needed like trash bags and dish soap to the basics I needed from there. That helped some.
I haven't done this personally but i am a photographer so could maybe help with resolution question. when you search up the album art, make sure you try to find the largest file size as possible. go to google image search and under tools make sure the size is set to large. LPs are 12x12 inches and you can find frames at that size. a good printable resolution is 150dpi but if its being pulled from internet it will be at 72dpi. if you know how to upscale in photoshop, i'd recommend it but its okay if not. it wont be super crisp but it will be manageable and decently fine. like i said, the bigger the file size, the better.
