Post your living space, purchases for your home, tips for living in a place satisfactorily, shot you found on Pinterest, and if course coupons for Bed Bath And Beyond.
My apartment/room is not worth showing, but unless anyone objects I'll probably post a picture of my new practice space when I move in next month.
That is really cool and super handy if you can pull it off. I've never built anything that didn't come with instructions
I think there are tutorials that I can print off an follow. No way I do this just by fooling around with pieces of wood.
Yeah I've seen people say it's pretty easy to build things from pallets. I've never had the confidence to try, or even to go find pallets I can use.
My new dining room rug. Smaller than I thought, but...... I like it? I don't know if it works. I think it works?
My pickups from today: Bottlecap holder wall decor - $13.48 (Target) Burlap squares (set of two) - $7.98 (Target) Cork tiles (set of two) - 3 at $1.77 each (Target) Wooden dip bowls - 3 at $2.48 each (Target) Square wicker basket thing - $3.99 (Ross) Throw pillows - 2 at $12.48 each (Target) Hanging plants - 2 at $1.99 each (Aldi) The burlap thing is a set of two wood mounted burlap squares to decorate and mount on the wall. I don't have any ideas how to decorate them yet, but I feel like maybe its acceptable to mount them as are in the mean time? The cork tiles are for similar purpose, no idea there yet either. The wicker thing I am thinking of mounting on the wall once I find something to set in it. The dip bowls are going to be used as a votive for tealights . The throw pillows were 50% off
This seems like it's gonna be a fun thread. I'll have to see if I have some photos of #adulting when I get to my computer to find them.
Very nice place! That view. I'll post a few pics of my apartment maybe tomorrow when I can clean up a bit. Parenting over the weekend has left little time for that. My place is still pretty bare and smaller, but I'm trying to make it look like an adult lives here.
Jason I love your color scheme. I'm a big fan of the black/gray/blue thing. And I like the yellow you threw in there as well. I'm stoked because my new practice space is black and light gray. I'm gonna get some blue LED/Christmas lights to hang throughout and it's gonna be great.
Strange way to put it. I mean, I guess it's true, but seems condescendingly dismissive of the last 20 years of my life and how much I've saved and sacrificed and the spent years living living as frugally as possible to finally be able to finally buy adult things in my 30s and over the course of now years of getting one thing a year ... Yeah, so much for wanting to participate in this thread. What a downer.
Sorry. Didn't mean to infer that what you have you didn't earn or that you live an easy life. I thought I was making a joke on how often I go to your site.
Big shout out to Lowes. Long hair cat; sheds like a maniac. It's a chore........ but I love her so much. She's prob going to claw at the dang thing though. :/
Man, missed out on seeing more of Jason's apartment because I went to bed. Just remember seeing different pictures here and there over the past years. Still jealous of those band canvases you had done years back.
I'll try to dig up and organize some before and after pictures of our house, from about a year ago when we bought it until now, and post those later. But since what we're working on the most these days is the nursery, I thought I'd share that: And also the dresser that I've been working on re-painting for the nursery. This thing is more than 40 years old (it was my mother-in-law's when she was in college, and she got it used back then) and the handprints are from my niece and nephew (7 and 5):
Ha! Thanks, it's sort of a pass-through room in our upstairs between our bedroom and the bathroom. There's a good amount of space, especially in the middle of the floor. And yep, expecting twins, coming some time in the next 4-5 weeks.
