I feel like there is a LOT more to digest with this record than with Home. I enjoyed Home almost instantly...this is definitely going to take some time.
You said you see life in exploding color like the flash of stars or New England autumn I should've asked if you could stay I should've found a way around it because now all I see is grey all trapped in memories that surround it
I had my doubts this would live up to its hype train, but damn if it only took 1 listen to realize its excellence. I don't think this is a "grower" at all. Its so immediately engaging, while still challenging. Can I coin the term Accessibly Challenging?
honestly, this is the best initial reaction ive had to a record in years... this is the first time in a long time where an album drops and its genuinely all i want to listen to. listening to anything else wouldnt make sense in my brain right now.
Sun is just wow.. I heard this live and had a video of it.. I knew it would be special but the studio version is perfect
I honestly didn't love Sun. Until the last minute that is. Then it got great. So Home is by a long shot my favorite album and this is my favorite band. On first listen this is about everything I could've wanted it to be. The back half of the album in particular is perfect, TD is one of their best songs, this whole thing is great. I'm so happy rn
yes! i mean I saw it live so I knew it was coming but yea, just the yelling right before that SUN SUN SUN!!!!!!!! gets me so pumped
also, i dont think ive seen anyone mention this yet, but the 2nd coordinates track is honestly an album highlight for leading into Two Deliverances
Half way through the album. It's great, production is going to take some time getting used to, but the song writing throughout this record so far is bar none some of the best this scene has ever had.
I feel like this might be true, but I for one can't understand 80% of what he is saying half of the time.
I don't disagree with that. I'm going to need to spend a significant amount of time with the lyrical insert while I listen along in the next few weeks.
amen. i honestly dont think the vocals are that low in the mix once you have headphones on. i mean, theyre definitely quieter than on Home, but not as much as i initially thought.
first time hearing end of reel and it just floored me.. so good. the belting in the second chorus wow
