Waking up at 6am is effort

 

I'm waking up early anyway so I'm more than happy to go to sleep and join in the fun then

I can't wait to comment on the thread mid-drive in my delirium and crash

I want to enjoy the first listen with everybody on here. I don't want to wake up to like 5 pages of missed conversation, ha. I usually stay up until like 4 anyway.

 

I'm always up until 2 or 3 anyways, looks like a nice night for a midnight walk. Let's do this.

 

Midnight eastern time is 10pm for me out west, seriously feel bad for the UK friends.

I can't even express how excited I am right now. When I checked my phone and saw @Kevin360 quote me in this thread I knew instantly something was happening

 

I'm really excited to be able to join in the first impressions conversation tonight. I missed out on The 1975 discussion when that leaked and when I finally got to join I had missed like 10 pages.

 

That thread is the main reason I'm staying up. It was so fun. I want to feel that again.

 

Yeah! I love that feeling, it's so exciting and refreshing. Even though half of it ends up being lyrics posted in all caps, haha.

 

@SpyKi was nice enough to tweet at me when The 1975 leaked. I was half asleep haha. That was a blast, first impression thread explosions are great.

Is it bad that I'm still skeptical? Who knows.

Yeah I mean, it seems really legit. I'm excited. This will be the first band whos entire discog I own on vinyl which is exciting too. Cant wait for those to ship. Not sure how I'm going to explain that album cover to future roomates/romantic partners haha

 

I feel like at this point we can say beyond a reasonable doubt that it's happening. But I've looked at my confirmation email like 10 times to make sure because part of me still doesn't believe it

 

I read it over several times to make sure too haha. No offense, I trust you but I was like "maybe they read it too fast? I do that a lot too. Nope, seems legit" haha.

The Brand New parallels continue with this band, we are all losing our fucking minds over the prospect of hearing this album at midnight. We're adjusting sleep schedules, double checking emails, and awaiting that moment of receiving the download to stay up and listen. This fucking band.

 

I wonder if the Hotelier is lurking this thread and if they are, do they think we're going insane? Because yeah, we are.

 

Also a gentle reminder that It Never Goes Out is a masterpiece in its own right and you all should give it another spin if you havent because its wonderful. I've even come to enjoy the songs where Christian isnt singing.

No worries, I completely understand! When i first saw it I just stared for a minute, I needed time to comprehend what was in front of me, ha. But yeah, at this point I have no doubt that it's real and happening. Tiny Engines may joke around a lot but I can't fathom them toying with us this much.

Not gonna lie, I felt super cool for a minute there. Being the one to tell the thread gave me such a dorky sense of pride.

 

I'm an old man who can't stay up past midnight on workdays , but tomorrow morning is going to be GLORIOUS!

 

I feel you. Hopefully this is good music for the good old public transportation.
