Yeah, because I've never gotten to hear an album before street date before... and for me, long waits become irritating and frustrating. I'm not big on delayed gratification, I don't know anybody that just loves waiting a long time for things they are excited about. I'm allowed to be impatient. When I hear it, none of this will matter but as it stands I'm dying to hear it, driving a few hours to see them within the month and aspire to know every word before I do. Sue me!
I mean you always know you're waiting no? I mean I know Busted are putting an album out later this year and waiting to find out when I'm going to get it is way worse than waiting to get it I'm my opinion.
I just don't get that but that could be because I'm anticipating albums all the time. I've been as excited for Goodness as I am now since I fell in love with Home. It just gets easier as I get closer and I was very happy when I finally got a release date. If I could have had one back in 2014 like we get with marvel movies, I would have.
Not to turn this into a semantics thing, but that doesn't really make sense. If you are at your bus stop a half hour early, that is a longer wait than being a minute early. The bus still arrives at the same time.
Yeah but if you show up to the bus stop at 11.00 and your bus shows up at 12.00, you're waiting an hour whether you know when the bus is coming or not. Like I said, maybe we just react to things differently, my anticipation doesn't change from when I don't know the album's coming to when I do. I'm still waiting for the album.
There's nothing "entitled" about thinking that an album roll-out is too lengthy. Yes, I would have preferably had them hold off for another month, (not me) but some people's excitement can wane waiting so long for an album after it was announced, ya know?
People complaing about people who are complaining about the wait for the album have already heard it. Ironically because they were too impatient, and decided to take advantage of a glitch the band did not condone.
this is my official complaint about the people who are complaining about the people complaining about people complaining
And I'm not trying to sound "entitled" I just love this band, and it annoys me people had advances almost 5 months before the release.
Yeah I need to stop checking this thread its making me antsy and want the album so much more every time I look in here and I know I have at least 3 weeks left haha
I didn't even know about this band until Home came out. That is my favorite way to first hear an album. Not expecting it at all and then just getting knocked off your feet by something you weren't prepared to hear. Nonetheless, if this album is half as moving as Home was, I will be happy no matter when it graces my ears.
Lol I mean, it's been a long roll out but it's really not that big of a deal. Like, I don't think it's something to be upset about. I've enjoyed this roll out. It's been really exciting to me. It's the most I've anticipated an album (probably ever), and I've loved talking about how excited I am the past few months with some people on here. I actually think (most) album roll outs are really fun. For a lot of albums, after the album has been out for a few weeks, the thread really really slows down. I like the opportunity roll outs give to just spark discussion about bands I love. I like that a memory attached to "Goodness" will be speaking to people on here about our mutual love for this band / album. Just enjoy the moment, always living for tomorrow sucks. The album will come, and it'll come really soon. Anyway, I don't mean to come off as preachy on this topic. I just don't really get the frustration.
Was teaching a bass lesson last night and was using chord progressions to teach my student how to apply major and minor thirds to his bass lines. I was using the bridge to your deep rest as one of be progressions and started singing along with it... From that he was immediately hooked and asked where he could listen/buy the record.. Spreading this band one student at a time ha. Edit. I also showed him a couple of songs after "your deep rest" and "scope" so I guess those are the two songs I show "new" people to
