These are all great recs. Thanks! This wasn’t to say I don’t like the hotelier’s other sounds but this song just feels unique. I also feel like anxious’s ep feels similar.

Popping in to say “Soft Animal” is one of the best songs ever written.

 

I’ve been reading a Mary Oliver collection and whenever I pick up the book I immediately get the song stuck in my head, haha

 

I once shared that song in an environmental literature class in college. We had a chance to share environmental media at the end of every class period, and I will never forget how weird it felt to play The Hotelier for a class full of people that had probably never heard of them and likely didn't listen to emo at all. But it went over really well!

 

Probably better than when I played The Fall of Troy’s Panic Attack for my HS class doing an analysis of the lyrics…excruciating 3 minutes
