Two Deliverances and Sun are all-timers for me. I could probably spend some time and put together a Top 10, but those are for sure 1 & 2. Soft Animal is up there too.
Hotelier was so fucking good last night, like yall said this the show I’ve always wanted. Saw them play a couple house shows around Home’s release, and to see them at this level now was amazing. I love Foxing, but the albatross is their worst album and The Hotelier should’ve closed. The energy for Hotelier was insane.
This tour would be way better if Foxing was doing Nearer My God in full that's for sure. Still so stoked for Sunday
are they saying before hand who plays first/second? I just assumed foxing was first each night until now seeing that isnt the case
I definitely agree. I wasn't surprised that The Hotelier didn't close but the energy between the two was a bit surprising. I think it's that we know we'll get more Foxing tours while this may very well be the last time The Hotelier play any shows. They do seem to be really enjoying themselves but if they haven't had the energy to record or write, I don't see this causing them to change. And they're not willing to let the band become a legacy act a la Thursday even though they are probably the second best band to come out of this wave of emo behind MoBo.
Not that I saw. They swapped one or two nights so far but mostly been Foxing out of the handful of shows so far.
Seeing all these posts about this potentially being a farewell tour. Is there no chance the Hotelier ever makes new music again?
Yeah, I have gotten the same feeling. I just wasn't sure if they had said something at a recent show.
