Wow "Soft Animal" is pretty great.

 

why did I listen to those clips??? UGH They really blew me away with this.. can't wait to enjoy this record in High Def from start to finish. @KennedyBN I didn't listen to all of soft animal but listened to some of it.. its all great.. its all too good.. can't wait for this

I have been thinking about doing more in-depth analysis preview type stuff but then I end up repeating myself in an review But I can find ways around that - in the AP thread about this album I was posting a lot of analysis on it but I will take this feedback and gladly and incorporate it more into my posting

yeah seriously this song is everything I could have hoped for from this band. i liked piano player a lot but this blows it out of the water for me. why does the release have to be so far away ahhhh

Man Soft Animal is cool. The guitar is especially superb.

 

imagery is perf tbh

 

First half of "Goodness 2" is super weird, haha. As are the four random drum hits at the end.

 

I'm guessing you are listening to it fully with the clips?

I also listened and Sun is incredible

 

I want this album so badly now. The three songs they've release so far have all been awesome and sound like a perfect progression for the band. Just over one month to go!

 

the interlude type things you can just listen to in full.

 

I cant imagine listening to an album in cut up pieces.

 

It's hardly cut up, I just click every 25 seconds before the clip runs out and starts a new clip, it's pretty seamless.

 

"Two Deliverances" is so good, I think that would have probably been a better first single.

 

This album is going to tower over my unhealthily high expectations for it and I don't know if my body is ready for that. "Soft Animal" is unbelievable.

 

"Settle the Scar" is my favourite so far.

 

These interludes remind me of Mount Eerie so much.
