The summer this came out was one the best of my life. This was on regular rotation on a few road trips that year. Can't believe it's been five years already.

I feel the same as you. That said, it’s a good album and it’s always cool to see people have different favourites. This record really need a follow up. I still listen to it quite a few times this year.
My favorites on this are (in no order): Sun, Goodness Pt. 2, and Piano Player. But every song on this record is top tier.
two deliverances all the way baby. though to be perfectly honest my favorite parts of the record are the 2nd and 3rd coordinates. something about them makes my heart feel warm
Two Deliverances is the best, Sun is close, most of the album is on a similar level to me beyond that. except End of Reel has never fully clicked with me, I would rank it among my least faves if not my least fav. still a good song tho.
Piano Player End of Reel Goodness Pt. 2 Two Deliverances, Soft Animal, and Settle the Scar could all probably take that third spot, but I’ve got a real soft spot for that guitar solo and this line: Little bird on the side of the sidewalk Sings me hymnals of comfort and pain Says give me you all disarmed and uncertain In the promise that I’ll do the same And it sounded like something you’d say Also gotta give some love to You In This Light and Fear of Good.
