so The Hotelier are playing my city's free summer concert series on Wednesday. for the last couple of months i assumed a tour would rise up around this date, but it hasn't. it's a true one off with only local openers. it's not mentioned on any of the band's social media. this just feels weird to me, and i am hoping against hope that it's to shake the rust off because there will be some movement from them in the near future. it's a free event in a historically unremarkable concert series so its def not for a pay day. in the very unlikely event they say anything noteworthy ill report back. i hope anyone in the crowd gives a shit about them, im very excited to see them in this setting
Sweet, thanks. I'm from New England so I was hoping it would be up around here. Really strange they're playing that gig!
I think An Introduction is my favorite song by them, but I like Goodness better. That whole album is just fucking phenomenal front to back.
Listened for the first time in a while yesterday because of this thread and I still think it's so special what they accomplished. They really pulled off the "natural" sound they were going for, makes me feel like I'm in a completely different world.
Well over three years since this album came out, and significantly longer since the album was first announced and I spent so long talking, listening and getting excited about this. Time really flies. Home is the best of all time for me still, but this album was probably where my love of music absolutely peaked.
You can fit the entirety of Home and Goodness into that set with like two or three songs from INGO. Wish I was there :(
