I love all those songs. But my overall top three remains:
Your Deep Rest
An Introduction
Dendron

 

Two Deliverances and Opening Mail are my favorites on this album. You In This Light is an easy least favorite.

This album is great, and undeniably well crafted as a cohesive whole, but to me Home just has more standout songs

I was at a super busy touristy area near Niagara Falls yesterday, and freaking End Of Reel was playing over the PA at some hip ice cream shop and I was so happy haha

Never been as huge on sun as everyone else seems to be. The ending is definitely great but the rest of the song is just fine imo. Much better live

 

Yeah I'm not quite sure why everyone loves Sun, that repeating vocal pattern does not work for me

Then again I would agree with the guy with The Weakerthans name

 

Sun grew on me so much. The ending is amazing.

 

I didn't like Sun until I saw it live

 

End of Reel is my favorite song by them.

 

Soft Animal is best then all the rest are pretty much equal to me

 

You In This Light is the best for me. Those lyrics tho.

 

Yeah You in this Light is fantastic.

"Dancing in private with the concept of never" is probably my single favorite lyric on the album.

 

Similar for me. "What if we don't? What if we never know?" has got to be it for me. They're simple words, but so much meaning is packed in them.

 

I still haven't gotten into this record yet.

I grew up in the same area as Christian and he actually had a pretty lengthy guest feature on one of our songs way back before home even came out. He killed it then and still does.

 

dunno how I missed it after all these years but just realized that hlnpt backwards reads as "there is no place like home". reminded me how many little pieces of cool wordplay are on that album.
