They also played the first 6 songs of home like no place is there in order last night. Said they didn’t have enough set time for the whole album

 

When I saw Just Breathe I was hoping for a Thrice cover.

 

It feels like this came out much longer than two years ago. If I hadn't seen the date in the thread title I would have thought it came out in 2014.

 

Stereogum put them on their most anticipated for 2019 fwiw. Fingers crossed for an alt-country masterpiece

When I saw them they said “we decided we arnt going to play any shows for a while” to me it didn’t seem like they were stepping away to record... take what you will from that.

 

When did you see them? They tweeted this back in May (I guess this means they should’ve recorded by now?)

Well... it’ll hurt if this band goes away, but I won’t read into anything too much yet. Couldn’t blame them either, they’ve been touring like CRAZY since Goodness came out.

I wonder if the tour with JEW helped them a bunch or if it wasn’t super successful for them.

The bass line in Two Deliverances still makes me feel warm inside.

 

I don’t know if it means anything, but the tweet about them recording is still their pinned tweet. I have a feeling he just meant they aren’t going to play any shows for a bit so they can take a break from touring.

 

I didn’t get that feeling. Hope I’m wrong but I wouldn’t expect much from them for while.

 

That sucks. This band has two of my favorite albums of the decade.

Are you saying it didn’t just sound like fatigue from touring? did it seem like something was not okay within the band?

 

I got the sense they are stepping away for a bit.

 

I don’t see why they wouldn’t record at some point this year
