i think i've seen them two or three times this album? once headlining (w/ Loone, Told Slant), once on the Joyce Manor tour, and then with Get Up Kids on their anniversary tour (i THINK those were all this album cycle) but i seriously can't wait for them to hit the west coast again next year. i haven't been to a show in so long
somehow even after over 140 listens this album completely floors me. Easily one of my favorite all time records
Yeah I skip the intro and the interludes when I’m listening to it on the commute. Don’t have time for them.
They definitely non stop toured on Home and did a lot less touring for Goodness but still a decent amount. At least that's how it feels. I saw them soooo many times around Home
I don't know, I'm down with all the other interludes but I just don't find the intro effective. I get what it is supposed to do, introducing themes and tying the record together, but it just comes up flat to me. After the first three songs it's near perfection, so it's cool.
Just pressed play on Home. This record will never lose it's magic. It hits me hard every single time.
Also worth mentioning, because I'm not sure if he knows this or not. The reason I checked out The Hotelier, and now consider them a top 5 band(maybe higher?) is because of @Zac Djamoos When Home came out he wouldn't stop talking about it, and I had just bought tickets to see A World Is.. and The Hotelier were opening. I figured it'd be nice to see what the hype was about, and also to be familiar with the opening band. So, thanks Zac!
I never really dug Sun all that much initially, but relistened to it a bunch recently and I'm really eating my hat on this one. That ending, my god
