Cat's Cradle is not in Durham. Also, every time a band I love comes to Tallahassee now I am just filled with rage.
Really like that Portsmouth venue: saw B&C and Roger Harvey there last spring. Even though they're playing Riot Fest they're playing on the day with the weakest lineup - I just wanna see a headliner finally
Have you ever seen a show there with good sound? I went for my very first time earlier in the year to see He Is Legend and the sound was pretty atrocious. Hoping that wasn't the norm, but expecting otherwise.
I think I'm going to try to drive to the St Louis date. I saw them in Lawrence with Joyce Manor last year and they were amazing.
One of those nights that I'm singing and dancing around to this album*. Currently bonding with my best friend over their Mary Oliver themes; Soft Animal on repeat tbh. * Still can't listen to Opening Mail for My Grandmother. It was a difficult song even a year ago but has taken on so much importance after my own grandma's passing in April. I don't think any other album has continually been able to effect me emotionally, even a year later.
So Christian is doing a solo show in Leicester on Friday night which is a little bit north of me. Anyone know if it's solo material, Hotelier material or a mix? Tempted to go.
So I saw Christian last night in London, amazing set. All Hotelier song and then a cover. I love how even though it's acoustic he sings with the same intensity. And then saw Emperor X who I didn't know at all...and wow. So. Much. Fun.
yup, emperor x is the greatest live act existing right now and the album is easily the best of the year
between that and seeing the greatest live act ever you sure had a load of best things last night didn't you????
