I agree. But I'm excited because times about to start flying by for me and it'll seem like this album is coming out way sooner than it actually is haha. Once I'm done finals next week me and my buddy are going on a two week road trip which will speed things up, then I get back and BAM. Goodness will come out in 2 weeks.
wait, so is it Chris or Ben that isnt on this tour? and does anyone know why? - sorry i think weve talked about this before but i cant remember.
was able to see Christian, Brian (Weatherbox), and Jade play acoustic last night at a little shop in NYC... it was incredible. on top of Goodness and Piano Player, he played a new song from the album and the lyrics especially are next level. the hype for this album is real.
Yeah I've always kinda wondered why he isn't. I think his back up vocals (just from all the live videos I've watched) are great.
Way too excited for this album still. I'm also not surprised it hasn't leaked. It's clear that people just respect this band all around and I'm happy to see that.
Super early leaks are really rare at the moment but considering how many people seemingly have this album I have to agree. This band is something special and no-one wants to ruin the fun of the leadup to this record, which is great. I've managed to distract myself since Piano Player was released so my hype is at a manageable level. Is it just me or would a leak around now or even early May be a gigantic disappointment to anyone else? I'm always a bit sad when a band I like has an album leak but I feel like having it leak so soon would just be crushing. Also does Christian not do the screaming himself live? Huh. I don't have the luxury of watching shows often, so I'm usually quite in the dark about what a lot of bands do live barring the occasional video haha.
The lead-up to this album is not fun. It is excruciating. I wish I had no knowledge of this album until it was in my hands lol
I definitely don't want it to leak. I want to experience the way it's meant to be with the art and lyrics and everything in front of me. After that I'll jam it on the go.
Again. I can't fathom why this is coming out in late May when people have had advances for months. This wait is killing me.
They said it was bc of the vinyl.. Idk why bands can't have two separate releases a digital/cd release and a vinyl release.
The only other thing I could think of is that they really want it to feel like a summer record by having it come out a couple days before June
The wait is rough but I'm honestly down to have this released in May. Perfect time of the year for this.
46 days till this album comes out friends :) Lately the last verse of "In Framing" has been killing me. A lyrical highlight for me off of Home. "And with your nature reversed and our home as our cage, you caved and you asked "is this coming of age." As you climbed out the window, your face cold as stone, you lifted the towel. Your wrist showed the bone. I held my breath in the ER. I swayed as I stood. I tried to stay steady to protect you the best that I could. You pretended to sleep the entire ride home but I heard you crying when you felt alone"
That last line especially just paints the most vivid image in my head, the one about driving home. its weird, everytime i hear that lyric i get a specific night time street image in my mind of an actual place near my house. Home is like my favorite album ever to listen to / read the lyrics with the music. hits HARD.
Everything off Home hurts so much, but it does so in the most relieving way. It's never overwhelming to listen to despite how many lyrics are capable of stinging if I let them. The lyrics don't have any major impact on me unless I chose to, in which I absolutely lose it. Contained and controlled catharsis, if you will.
