since the guy from bwb is on tour this summer i wonder who is playing with them for the shows they have
Remember when Goodness first came out and everyone thought the snare was too loud? And for a minute everyone was worried about the mix like when they dropped Piano Player. the mixing in this record is perfect though, in hindsight.
I don't know if this was posted before but it's quality live footage of them. Still listen to all their albums quite often.
It's weird because I know they play FACGCE but a half step down a lot. That's what like Settle the Scar and Opening Mail is in. Sometimes they play Dendron in it (or maybe even all the time). Then I know half step down and maybe open D. I know Two Deliverances isn't in a standard tuning because when I play it half step down I'm playing like a Emaj-A-B-Cmin chord progression. And when they play it live I think Chris has like a capo on second and what he is playing looks like less "chordy" finger placement wise if you know what I mean.
Yeah, I tried watching live videos and got even more confused. I feel like I was very close to getting it, but too impatient to keep twisting the tuning pegs.
lol it sounds like it should be real easy to figure out but I can't place it either. I havn't tried too hard but its definitely a little strange.
But whatever it is, they use it for more than just Two Deliverances right? I can't remember a tuning break before and after Two Deliverances
I'll be super busy so I wanted to post tonight. Happy one year anniversary to an incredible record. I enjoyed sharing this record with this thread so much last year!
Super random. Listened to this twice on vinyl after work. Wasn't sure why I was in the mood. Maybe the 1 yr anniversary explains it. Ha
Does anyone know if Christian or Toby Foster is headlining this solo tour? Tryna see if I can dip out and make it to see Girlpool too.
these are like little diy shows so like there might even be dates where none of them go on "last", order probably dependent on show, though i would expect christian to go last at most
Yeah, I figured. But the venue has Toby listed at the top of the bill so idk really. Super stoked for it regardless.
I still won't ever forget the first time I heard Piano Player. I can't believe I was able to keep my phone just long enough to give my thoughts on it before they took my phone away and sent me to a mental health rehabilitation and addiction treatment facility here in North Carolina. I'm so much better now. I'm in a much better place and I think it shows. I'm not as hostile or angry or bitter and I think my recent posts reflect that, whereas before I'd be much more prone to start a fight or play victim after antagonizing someone. This band means more to me than I give them credit for sometimes
