I saw BWB last year and am so mad I slept on Baby for so long.. Couldn't listen to anything else for awhile
They are currently sounding the best they've ever sounded live. Easily. They still can't hold tempo to save their life, but the drummer is clearly getting somewhat better and Christian finally looks like he's relaxed and having fun up there, and the band's performing is better for it. Awesome, I'm so excited to see them again now.
This is super nerdy but me and one of my best friends will text each other emojis that are actually song lyrics when we're really bored and the other person has to guess what the lyric is lol. It has to make sense but also we try and make it hard. Whoever gets this first wins haha
and the sirens cry loudly im reflecting i cry loudly lyrics i always forget call me baby i'll take the check in the mail
"And the sirens cry loudly. I'm reflexive, I cry loudly. Put my picture in framing. Hung forever, left me strangling. Call me baby". I still think In Framing is lyrically the best Hotelier song and I'll fight anyone about that one.
The end of Dendron thooooooo Also have the softest spot for "make me believe that all my selves align/make me believe that it is all alright/Make me believe that I don’t have to die/make me believe that there’s a God sometimes"
The thing about the hotelier and lyrics is this. When I say In Framing is my favorite lyrical moment of this band it's like 1. In Framing / everything It's so close, I switch all the time for favorite lyrical moments. The end of in framing though is just so powerful to me. Also, if we're talking lyrics, Two Deliverances needs more love
One of my biggest regrets is not holding onto the very first merch design this band made. They bought a ton of old navy blank t's and spray painted a stencil that was pretty much the Home Depot logo that said "The Hotel Year" instead. Hope whoever found mine at a thrift store flips it for the $$$
