Yeah, I know you're quite the fan of Home. Your love of it when it came out is what made me hear of this band, so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
To anyone who has seen them live recently, how incredible of a job did the guy from Born Without Bones do filling in? I thought they sounded so tight with him, and his backing vocals were perfectly done(especially in Dendron)
I think I prefer Goodness now because I seriously overplayed Home and saw them a ton of times during that cycle
Goodness > Home. I think Home is tremendous but there is just some out of this world songwriting on Goodness. My Spotify 2016 playlist came out, and Two Deliverances was my post played song of the year. I knew the only thing that could come close to topping it was a Rosenstock song, but it released too late in the year.
Scott has played with them off and on since just about their inception, he's always been involved haha. Would agree to whoever says that he makes them a better band live. BWOB is a great live act in their own right and the new songs translate well
Best I've ever seen them was with him. Jade was really good too, but Scott seemed to care more and seemed to be having a blast the whole time. I got the feeling that jade didn't want to be there at times, maybe that isn't fair. Just a feeling I got though
Maybe he will stick around, if not I'll be sending in my audition tape with @KennedyBN (not really lol)
Even better live! Probably my most listened to song on the new record Edit: just checked last.fm and it's tied with "Opening Mail For My Grandmother" for most listened song off of Goodness. They're ranked 8 and 9 overall as my most played Hotelier songs
did you miss all the Housebroken debates and the times people popped in here to say this album was shit
The housebroken debates were dark for sure. I don't recall anyone like openly shitting on this album tho?
