The two guys I normally go to shows with are going to be in Iceland when this comes through Seattle. Trying to decide if I should just go by myself since I have yet to see them live. I'm very excited about this record. Listening to Piano Player again right now and it's finally hitting me super hard.
Yeah Dendron's easily my favourite song by them and I wouldn't be surprised or upset if nothing on here hits me like that song.
I wasn't enamored by the the last effort, but I did find it to be one of the strongest releases of the year. The b-side and the first song released haven't touched any of the last record for me yet.
Is the show w Petal tonight? Good shit. I booked Hotelier at my school for this Friday. Also I was just at NU last week!
The closer on this album works even better as a closer than dendron, even tho the last few seconds are my least fav part of the album
Wheeee can't wait Just saw her Saturday. I see her a ton, she's so good, and Petal is prob the reason me and my gf are together tbh
He powered through it. The only new song they played was piano player. I got a video of it, no idea how good it came out. And it's probably filled with my raspy, "sustain" yells
Setlist(it was their first show with a new guitarist) % Intro Scope Piano Wildflowers Weathered In framing Discomfort Dendron.
they seem like a band that could pull off 3 guitars well, especially if that 3rd guitarist also has a keyboard. since a few of their songs have prominent keyboard/piano parts. id imagine thatll be expanded on this record.
