Yeah, I can see how Home feels more fragmented. I see it almost like a series of vignettes or like a bunch of short stories within a narrative frame, and I think INGO can fall into this category as well...it's less deliberate attempts at connection Vs Goodness which is a bit more linearly and cohesively cinematic. I don't like one structure more than the other, but I think the interrelated parts of Goodness make it more important to me in the sense that I may not be able to relate to or understand something on a surface level, but when considering it within the whole, it makes more sense to me. At least that's how it was at first, now through familiarity and my own life changing, the individual pieces make just as much sense to me. I think Home, while being viscerally relateable, suffers for that from me because there are emotions on there that aren't fun to relate to or to remember, if that makes sense. So I love it to death, I think I can reasonably say it's one of my favorite albums in general, but Goodness sounds like better days, and not only do I love that, I think that's something everyone needs at some point.

Has Zack Shaw been playing with them for the whole Joyce Manor tour? I'm sure it's nothing permanent, but it would be pretty cool if he continued touring with them.

You ever listen to an album a few times, like it, but only go back to a couple songs? Then decide you need to give it another shot and listen to it thirty times over a couple weeks? That's happening to me right now.

I'm not sure who that is, but the guy who played for them when I saw them with Joyce Manor was a different guy than during their headlining tour, so...yes?

Someone else will clear this up more but I don't think it's been zack I think he is just going to see them tonight or last night or something. The new guitarist is named Scott. My friend saw them in la and they said he was a permanent member but people in this thread said that wasn't true so I don't know

Whoops. Read from someone on Twitter that Zack played with them in Brooklyn. My mistake. Either way, he was solid on guitar and provided some excellent backing vocals.

I learned how to play Goodness Pt 1 on guitar
this is the first time I've learned to play the entirety of a song instead of just a part wow holy moly
it helps that it is the easiest song in the world but like this is a good moment for me, im really surprised at myself tbh

Curious question. Where does everyone want to see the hotelier go next with their sound? Emoish back to home, expand on goodness, go in a completely new direction? Just curious. I really have no idea what they will do next but I will be along for the ride.

Idk this question is always an easy answer. No matter what band it is no matter what their last album sounded like I want every band to take their sound in whatever direction they want to. I don't like projecting my expectations onto a band. I'd rather they do what they want to do and hope I'll be happy with it

This is a great mindset to have. Also it helps to not have any preconceived expectations on what you hope the album should sound like so you won't be disappointed in any way if the album does not turn out the way you thought
