This is the first time I've been tagged. Awesome. It's all good haha, we are cool. Nice avatar. Agreed. To go from LID to that song makes no sense to me. Such a jarring transition
I'm liking this whole tagging thing. Thats good, though, haha. I was definitely a cocky dork back then. I mean, I still am, but I like to think that I've improved.
@ImAMetaphor as was/am I. It's rough being young and having access to the Internet, hahah. And hell yeah, tagging is sick. @Jason Tate knocked it out of the park with that
The room awash in the sustain. God damn it. How did someone write a song this good. Fuck. I love that they're playing around with structure and effects, makes the lyrics even more powerful. "Piano Player" is also surprisingly catchy, I've been humming it since I'd heard it before going to the psych hospital. I'm desperate to hear this album. Desperate I tell you. No amount of medicine or therapy will make me feel better than a new Hotelier album in my ears.
I initially thought Housebroken was meant to be taken literally because I thought I saw a tweet once from them about animal rights.
INGO is IMO a pretty flawless record for what it was. I think the band has grown leaps and bounds but there is still a ton to love on that record. I find myself listening to it/connecting with it more than Home
That's how I felt until I broke down and listened to the live steam once and then piano player 20 times. I regret it but I'm telling myself it will still be special to hear the new record in full the way it was intended
Subbing. Here to remind everyone how UNBELIEVABLY HYPED I am for this record, you're welcome. Also PUP same day can may actually get any better? I'm seeing these dudes in Southhampton UK that month too. It's gonna be a bloodbath of love and tears
I took a two week break from this album just so I wouldn't overplay and I listened to it for the first time since then the other day and it hit me like a ton of bricks - this is such an incredible important album goddamn
INGO is a really important album to me, not quite on par with Home, but definitely one of my favorites ever.
This summer I'm going to hopefully help some friends clean up and restore an old farm they just bought and I feel like this album is going to have great vibes for that environment.
