ALSO, they just posted on IG that they're "getting ready for something tomorrow" there was a vid of them like, sound-checking/rehearsing. i'm so anxious now!!
i'm going to ACTUALLY wake up at 7am tomorrow with my alarm clock and just be waiting. just in case, haha.
i'd do the same but i'm probably gonna go to sleep around 4 or so :/ and i have a meeting tomorrow that i don't want to go to on like 3 hours of sleep wish TE was west-coast based
I'm looking forward to this, but I wasn't quite as into Home as many others on the site, so I'm hoping this is really the one that'll win me over.
ive been listening to home a lot lately, i mean it never really leaves my rotation as i feel like i listen to it at least once a month but im back to about once a week lately. still a really stunning record to me and has only grown to mean more over time
Home feels locked in to the place i was in my life in 2014 and all the things that happened because of it and i'm okay with that. hoping this album does the same for me at the place i am in my life right now.
it definitely takes me back to a very specific time and place in 2014 when i spent the most time with it. still, a lot of themes apply to things going on in my life recently
said it in the AP forums and ill say it here. i dont know that ive ever anticipated an album more than this.
i think the most ive ever anticipated an album was tame impala last year, yeezus in 2013, or no devolucion in 2011.
same. not sure if i can really tie Home down to a singular year in which it defined my life; it's been the soundtrack to the past 2.5 (3?) years since it came out. my life during my last year at home and since i moved out and into this apartment have kind of been a very bad blur.
It was the catalyst for me starting to deconstruct some things in my life and changing my perspective on a lot of things and becoming a different person. that whole process was hard and emotional and happened because of the album, both directly and indirectly. When I started to find more of a solid footing in terms of my identity and values and such it started to phase out of rotation, but never out of my life okay that was rly corny sorry
Very excited for this, obviously. Hope it catapults them even further into being one of the best bands in the scene. Side note: so nice to see some more familiar faces
