Intro is such a fucking good song...it's such a strong sort of mission statement for that album. The spoken word bit on Goodness + Goodness pt 2 are also really strong in that regard but I think in a way that's not as immediate or visceral, which makes sense in the context of the record
singing along to Goodness Pt 2 live was my favorite part of the show. i don't think there were nearly as many ppl there into that as i was. esp compared to how rowdy the crowd got during Your Deep Rest
I think it's just gonna need some time. People just might not know the lyrics all the way yet, and that's what usually gets me going
my date WAS in the beginning of June. like a week after the album released. around 2 weeks after it initially streamed. i made sure to listen obsessively and memorize most of it tho, haha
My date was like 11 days ago and I still didn't know all the new lyrics but man those songs were soooo good live...my one and only complaint is that I didn't get You In This Light haha. Edit: two complaints, I didn't get End of Reel either lmao
I personally enjoyed a lot of the goodness songs more than home songs live. I've heard all of home live at this point (except housebroken). But hearing goodness pt 1 to goodness pt 2 to piano player was perfect. Loved two deliverances live, I went out of my mind singing along. Second time seeing sun live and it was sick. Soft animal was perfect to me live and made me actually love that song more. Highlight was you in this light; just love that song so much and it hit the spot live... Christian keeps becoming a better singer too, his voice is a lot stronger than the last time I saw him. Not gonna lie I loved every song last night, though scope was perfect as well.. Probably looked weird being 29 right next to the stage and standing in the over 21 area screaming my lungs out like a little kid.
Also according to my iTunes I've played goodness just over 80 times... Which is a lot considering I've been listening to other music as well, summer break as a music teacher I pretty much just listen to music and do house work all day ha
It was missing the f sharp for me... Haha but as far as intensity goes yea it was cool now they built it up and then came back down
Same, person who stood right next to me was like who's the other guy. The chemistry between 2 singers really fascinates me.
it was like in twin peaks when Dale Cooper sees Julee Cruise, but replace all the sinister feelings with hopeful ones. that's how I felt watching sun
i wanna catch the Hoteliers live stream today of their pitchfork set. pitchforks festival schedule said the Hotelier will be on at like 5:45... this is eastern time yeah? EDIT: aah, assuming it is eastern time than that is 3:45 for me and i wont be home... does anyone know if the videos are going to be on youtube after?
