It kinda tripped me up when the same guys played in two bands but that drummer was nuts. He had such a crazy technique. I loved it. It was a great show but Christian seemed a little unhappy which is weird because the last time I saw them he seemed like the happiest person in the world. I'm so glad they played Soft Animal.
I realize a lot of you will balk at this, but after going back to listen to Home, this album makes it sound flat. Very, very surprised by how much this thing has grown on me.
You need to see Eskimeaux asap (same collective so mostly the same lineup). I think they might be opening for someone at Mahall's in the next month or two. I mostly just noticed Christian looking a little annoyed the couple times people were moshing, which I don't blame them for that reaction cus that's usually my reaction when I see it too lol Like 10% of the crowd seemed to be assholes which just skewed the vibe ever so slightly. Still a great show, though.
nope. i mean they were a year ago, not sure enough people have brought it up recently to re-bring it to her/the epoch's attention
shame. i know it was a year ago but i had hoped it being brought up again recently would have prompted a response.
would it be too over the top to directly privately message the epoch page? seems like it's responsive
few other related posts too...saw one last year and it seemed like a non issue, more of just a argument amongst two people, then recently saw this one that clearly states worse things... the person who made those posts was an old epoch poet.
Last night at the show there was this kid that looked like a straight up 2007 scene kid wearing an ADTR shirt that kept hardcore dancing and opening up a pit during almost every Home song. It was super uncomfortable to watch and it looked like Christian wanted to say something but he didn't. Strange experience but the band was great haha
Sun is probably middle of the pack on this for me (which is still really good considering how much I love this) but the "you and I" harmonizing near the end of the song might be my favorite little moment on the album sonically. Love singing along to the harmony/loved singing along to it in person last night. Hah I didn't see that dude specifically cus I was in the back but I'm sure I saw Christian giving him the stink eye at least once. I don't know if "Hotelier bro" is a concept that has been talked about anywhere in the past but if not I'm inventing it now. Some Broteliers were definitely in attendance last night.
I believe the lyrics are "you undone". There were a good amount of people moshing at their show in Baltimore. It peaked at "Life In Drag" and it was pretty annoying but Christian didn't say anything.
