was in maui and the blueberry hot sauce from bravado was at a restaurant. i loved it so much i bought a bottle, thinking i was all exclusive and shit. smh
Went to Guisdados in LA and had their Chiles Toreados (you can see 2 of them pictured in the top left). It's Habanero, serrano, jalapeno, and thai chiles blistered together over high heat over some beans and topped with a habanero salsa. It almost ruined me, but I loved it. (ignore the location filter lol)
Andrew Rea is gonna be on Hot Ones this week for the most epic crossover in food-based YouTube video history
I might have to do an eat-long with this one. how convenient that Babish just did a show on making wings, haha.
going to puckerbutt pepper co. today to pick up some supplies for my first bottling attempt this weekend, heck yeah
i did. blended everything together on saturday and it’s been fermenting. going to cook it up tonight.
Let us know how it is! I might take another shot at my habanero pineapple sauce today or tomorrow. Think with a few more attempts I'll be able to get it exactly how I want it. Excited for you!
Also first person to reply to me with a sauce (preferably nothing crazy expensive,) I will grab it as long as it's available online! Need something new.
Sounds awesome! I did a jalepeño lime that I want to explore more. It was good, but it didn't have too much depth. Needs more something but I'm not entirely sure.
doing a trial run on another subscription service. trying out Hot Heat for 3 months with their 1 bottle of extra hot option. got my first one and it’s an Angry Goat sauce called Hot Cock haha
first attempt was pretty good! it came out way spicier than i intended since i was only using jalapeños (six) but maybe that’s due to it still being pretty hot from cooking it. i’ll be interested to see if that gets more mild once it cools. but the flavor is better than i anticipated. some nice citrus notes that are a bit out of the ordinary from the mango. also the carrot kinda cuts nicely.
